My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were a bit on the small side but clean and cozy, overlooking the indoor pool. However, there was a minor issue with something leaking in the bathroom. The service at AmericInn was exceptional, especially in helping us reserve rooms for our son's wedding. The location was a bit hard to find but not crowded and offered a quiet retreat. The dining options were surprisingly good given the price, with a variety of choices available. Though there were areas for improvement, the value for money was reasonable.

The hotel room I stayed in for Friday and Saturday was a bit disappointing with a slight mildew smell and felt dingy and dark. However, the service, especially at breakfast, was excellent to everyone. The location behind two car dealerships was unique, accessible, and pleasant, offering a great restaurant nearby. The dining experience was simple but satisfying. Overall, the hotel is a medium-sized and not crowded place to stay in Des Moines, with some minor setbacks.
